If you do not yet have a Florida KidCare online account, you will need to upload your supporting documents to your application. You should be prompted to upload documents right after you have submitted your application, and you can also choose to upload documents later by signing in here using your application confirmation number and last name.
1. I have filled out my application, but I am unable to upload documents.
Make sure you have completed and submitted your application. Once your application has been submitted, you will then be asked to upload your supporting documents.
2. I want to submit my application now, but would like to upload my documents later.
When you submit an online application, you will be given an application confirmation number. You can login here later using your application confirmation number and last name. Then click “Upload” to continue uploading your documents. After you’ve submitted an application, you can still add documents to that application for 120 days.
3. What are examples of types of documents I will be asked to provide?
Types of documents may vary from family to family based on what personal information is entered into the online application. However, the following categories are examples of types of documents that can be uploaded:
See a list of example documents for each category.
4. What file types are allowed?
Permitted file types are: .pdf, .jpeg/.jpg, .png, .tif/.tiff, and .gif. Other formats will not be accepted or processed.
All file types must be under 10MB per document. Please be aware that the size of your files and the speed and strength of your internet connection may affect how long it takes to upload documents.
Please make sure your files are not password-protected, secure, encrypted or corrupted. Florida KidCare will not be able to open these files to process them. You can avoid this by opening the document on your computer or phone before uploading and submitting it to make sure it can be viewed. If you are unable to view your document, try saving it in another acceptable format.
Files should be related to your family’s application or renewal process. Florida KidCare does not process medical bills, claims, or any other types of bills. These documents should be submitted to your health or dental plan.
5. How will I know if my documents have been correctly uploaded?
Each document you upload will have a status. Successful documents will be processed and will require no further action. If a document fails to transfer, you will need to try a new upload with the document(s) that failed.
6. Once uploaded and submitted, how long will it take for my documents to be processed?
Documents that are acceptable file types will be processed within approximately 7 business days.
7. I uploaded some of my documents already, but would like to upload the rest now. What should I do?
When you submit an online application, you will be given an application confirmation number. You can login here using your application confirmation number and last name. Then click “Upload” to upload the rest of your documents.
8. I uploaded documents to my application after I was assigned an account. What should I do?
Documents uploaded to an application will be assigned to your account during processing. Please note that documents uploaded to an application will not show in the list of successful documents when you log in to your account. If you need to verify these documents, log in with your application confirmation number instead.
9. Who should I contact if I have questions?
If you have any questions about how to upload documents or the status of your uploaded documents, please call the Florida KidCare customer service line at 1-888-540-5437. Make sure to reference the “Ref #” of the documents you need assistance with. Each individual document will have its own reference number.
